What makes this journey
Stand beneath the towering quartz-sandstone pillars of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park — the landscapes that inspired the floating mountains of Pandora.

Walk the glass-bottomed bridge suspended high above the Grand Canyon, then glide down canyon slides and a zip line for an exhilarating finish.

Ascend Tianmen Mountain on one of the world’s longest cable cars and walk the cliff-hanging glass skywalk toward the natural arch of Tianmen Cave.
Day by day
Your driver meets you at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport or the railway station — pickup is available 24 hours a day. Transfer to your 5-star hotel, then spend the evening at leisure. Explore the 72 Strange Building, a futuristic wooden tower glowing with folk-style lighting, and taste local street snacks.
Full day in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Ride the Bailong Elevator — the world’s tallest outdoor lift — up to Yuanjiajie, then walk the viewing platforms of Mi Hun Terrace and stand before the Hallelujah Mountain that inspired Avatar. Cross the First Bridge Under Heaven and continue to Tianzi Mountain for sweeping views over the pillar sea. Finish in the Ten-Mile Gallery, where Three Sisters Peak and the Old Doctor Gathering Herbs rise from the forest.
Morning stroll along Golden Whip Stream, an emerald valley framed by sandstone peaks — a filming location for the 1986 TV classic Journey to the West. Spot Golden Whip Rock, Zhu Bajie Carrying His Bride and Goddess Sending a Son along the way. In the afternoon, cross the world’s longest glass-bottomed bridge over Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, then enjoy a canyon boat ride, slides and a zip line.
Ride the Tianmen Mountain cable car — one of the world’s longest — to the summit, walk the cliff-side glass skywalk, and see the natural arch of Tianmen Cave (Heaven’s Gate). After the descent, transfer to Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport or the railway station for your departure.
